Starting Over
So, I'm done with week one, and I'm not very happy.
the results are much less than I expected/hoped for, but I'm remaining optimistic about this next week
--i have to.
This weekend, my parents are going to SF for their 25th anniversary and the bridge to bridge walk/run.
So I'm stuck at home with rachel
and a room full of old stuff that needs to go.
what a more perfect opportunity?
I need to reorganize my room.
totally and completely.
throw out old clothes/shoes/paper.
[i keep EVERYTHING. seriously. i still have old hw assignments from elementary school -_-]
I'm thinking instead of throwing away EVERYTHING, I will buy some more plastic pull out drawer things and just put the papers I want to keep in those. It will at least consolidate everything.
I want to get rid of my desk.
It's small and old. The only thing I want to keep of it is the top part, because over the years, I've put random stickers on it.
It's not necessary to keep, but it's nice, something I don't necessarily want to part with.
I need to make my closet more efficient, also.
right now, theres old shoes and a an old roll around book shelf type of thing that i definitely do not need. so those can go. and I need to fix the shoe rack because right now, it won't let my closet doors close all the way.
I need to vacuum it also. and dust the top shelf. and add in the extra bar I got when I went to BB&B a while ago, to hang up my t shirts, instead of folding them and stuffing them into my dresser.
and my dresser..
tons of clothes that I've only worn a few times, and that I don't plan to wear again.
old socks and underwear that can go also.
then theres the white shelf my dad made, which is acting as my book shelf atm, since I got rid of the big ass book shelf I had a while ago. I tend to put things OTHER than books on a book shelf, so I decided to just not use one. I'm going to look for mountable book shelves. so that I can have a few on the walls. I need to find something to do with all of my cinderella stuff, also.
ugh.
maybe put it in my closet? and replace it with pictures.
picture frames!
man, every time I do this, not everything gets done, and I'm stuck with a semi-unfinished room.
I'm trying to deal with all of this as if I was moving out.
What would I keep and take with me to a dorm room/apartment?
you know, since I keep seeing all of my friend's lovely dorms on facebook -_-
haha
oh well.
we'll see.
I'll remain optimistic for now.
tomorrow is a shopping trip to target.
I'm hoping my parents will reimburse me =x
