Vlog
So yesterday I recorded a vlog, but Vox won't let me upload it, so I guess I will just stick to writing..
I got a JOB! One of my very good friends and now my best friend works there as well, which is probably how I got the job, but anyway, I'm working at Toys R Us now! I have orientation tomorrow, and then who knows what after that. I am just so glad to have found a job, especially when everyone in the world is getting laid off right now. It was soooooooooooo easy. I went online and filled out the application and sent it in on saturday. I get a call sunday morning asking if I can come in around 5 for an interview. Well, I got there waay earlier and went in 15 mins to 5pm and my "interview" was just me telling about myself and saying my availability. He offered me a job on the spot (pending background check) and sent me on my way! I was kinda scared that he would forget about me, since there were no papers for me to sign and he didn't have my application on hand when I was there, but they didn't forget and I got at call this evening asking if I can come in for orientation tomorrow at 4!!! SOO FASST!! I had always wished getting my first job would be this easy. I saw a commercial for Toys R Us today and realized that they are open from 7am-Midnight every single freakin day.
Oops. oh well. It will be very good for me. I need more structure in my life. I need to live by set deadlines and stuff. I don't take school as seriously as I should, but that is different for a work situation. Especially one where I get to see/talk to people everyday.
I am verrrrry excited!
Another piece of good news- Surfthechannel.com has ALL the Everwood episodes!!! From Amazon.com's crazy black friday sales, I bought season one, since it's the only season available right now, but I just checked stc and they have ALL of them! Granted, they're all on a asian version of youtube, and I don't understand any of the writing on the webpage, but STILL!! Ah, I am so happy. you don't even know!
I LOVE THIS SHOW. It played for a while on ABC Fam a while back, originally on the CW(WB) a loooong time ago, but it hasn't aired anywhere since. I just totally fell in love with it when I first saw it, so I am sooooooooo glad to have found another place to watch it all.
Other than that, I haven't signed up for classes at my JC yet, and I have two finals on Friday, but I like to focus on the good rather than the bad, thank you!
Oh and I went to the gym today!!! First time in MONTHS!!

My first job was putting newspapers together. (Something I did last week, actually, because they needed help.) My dad got me the job because he works for the newspaper.

Girl I have SO many horror stories from there, but you know what, you are starting at a great time, Christmas time is so crazy that it flies by and really I didnt have any meanie experiences at all at during Christmas times. I think you will love it though, I know I did at the time. I don't think you will have any problems at all, I was a "key holder" and they tend to get a lot more shit from customers than anyone else, so I think you will have ZERO problems...unless you get promoted of course. But even then, its not a bad job. I hope your store is awesome, too. But I'm sure it will be, its the World's Largest Toy Store, come on! lol
But this one time this crazy bitch came in and wanted to return something but said she didnt have a receipt so I apologized told her that she couldn't (store policy) and she got so pissed, she was cussing me out and I'm just a really nice person, so I have no idea why she flipped out the way she did, but she was going crazy! She stood there and screamed in my face and was like "Look at you, working for minimum wage!!!!" and I was like 18 years old, a freshman in college, I mean I don't know if she really thought it bothered me that she pointed out that I was working for minimum wage lol, because ummm that was the point of having the job! lol Anyway there were lots of stories like that, moms get pissed and will like try to murder you, even with their kids there lol...But I think you have that at all retail stores. Women can be pretty scary!
